Darren and Dave select 3 subjects, from this last week of the Minnesota Vikings training camp.
Subject 1: Justin Jefferson was injured when Bashaud Breeland fell on him. It doesn’t sound devastating, thanks Odin, but highlights some critical depth issues that the Vikings and all teams face. He is not the only player injured and does not participate fully. Adam Thielen has a minor leg injury according to reports, Anthony Barr has been sidelined for something and Christian Darrisaw still hasn’t made it through the full team drills. Mike Zimmer is frustrated with his injuries. Should he?
Subject 2: The controversy hit hard this week thanks to the press conference of QB1 Kirk Cousins. It went national in a hurry. His attitude on the matter seemed to be what rubbed fans a bit, but did he do it for his teammates and how will that affect the Vikings over the season?
Topic 3: The Vikings will host their first preseason game on Saturday at US Bank Stadium against the Broncos. What do you hope to see? The preseason has been shortened to just 3 games, so what will the formula for playing the starters look like? Can’t wait to see them take on a decent Denver Broncos team, especially one with one of the best defenses in the league? Are you ready for it?
