Changes to Office 365 that will impact Dynamics GP messaging and workflow functionality

On the RSM-blog, Tom Burtner noted that Microsoft recently announced security changes for Office 365 and Exchange Online. Effective October 1, 2022, Microsoft is replacing core authentication protocols with a new, modern protocol to secure Exchange Online and hosted Office 365 from potential cyberattacks.

However, Burtner said these security changes will negatively impact messaging and workflow functionality in older versions of Dynamics GP. He noted that the users who will be affected by these changes are those who are using Dynamics GP 18.2 or another older version, such as GP 2010, GP 2013, GP 2015, GP 2016 or GP 2018.

In his blog post, Burtner explained why Microsoft made these changes and said the easiest and best answer for those using email or workflow features is to upgrade to version 18.3 or later.
