VCH reduces the number of vaccination clinics
Vancouver Coastal Health says it is seeing a significant reduction in the number of people attending immunization clinics, reducing the number of clinics.
It will continue to operate three mass vaccination clinics, one in North Vancouver, Vancouver and Richmond.
The health authority said resources from other clinics would be redirected to help outreach efforts in communities where vaccination has been slower.

As British Columbia recorded the highest number of new COVID-19 cases in Canada on Thursday, its senior health officials continued to emphasize a vaccination-focused combat strategy.

Daily number of cases and active cases on the rise again in British Columbia
British Columbia continues to lead Canada in the number of new daily cases, with 402 more cases reported on Thursday – while active cases increased from 302 to 2,066. This is the highest number of cases since 21 May – during the waning portion of the third wave of COVID-19 in British Columbia – and the most active cases since early June, at the start of the fourth wave of infection in British Columbia.
Active cases peaked in British Columbia on April 16 at 10,081.
Interior Health continues to account for the most new cases in British Columbia, reaching 58% of all new infections on Wednesday.
Interior Health is half the size of Vancouver Coastal Health and Fraser Health and about the same size as Island Health – which was responsible for just over 6% of cases on Wednesday.
