Locals Love Us gives readers and listeners the chance to choose their favorite businesses, services, restaurants, organizations, events and people across the Highland Lakes.

“The annual Locals Love Us contest is a fun way for Picayune readers and KBEY listeners to salute their favorite places in the Highland Lakes,” said Mandi Goldsmith, publisher of Victory Media Marketing, owner of KBEY, The Picayune. Magazine, and a variety of other publications and websites. “It also gives business owners and employees who work hard all year round a chance to really shine when they win the hearts of the locals. “

When Locals Love Us magazine comes out in February 2022, it will become an invaluable resource for visitors to the area, just in time for spring and summer break.

“Who better than a local to ask for the best burger, the live shows or the oil change?” Goldsmith said. “When I visit a place, I want to know where the locals are going. They know the best in their own community.

Voters from Locals Like Us can select winners in three Highland Lakes regions – Burnet, Kingsland / Llano and Marble Falls – which includes businesses and individuals from Cottonwood Shores, Horseshoe Bay, Buchanan Dam, Bertram, Spicewood and across the Highland Lakes.

The whole voting process is a great interaction between businesses and their customers, as the locations encourage fans to go online and vote. An easy way to do this is to share the Locals Love Us ballot on their own social media accounts and websites.

Locals love to reward companies that provide great service. You can also give a big “high five” to organizations that care for the community as well as to individuals such as teachers, coaches, volunteers, municipal workers, first responders, etc.

Locals Love Us is an opportunity to showcase the people, businesses, events and organizations that make the Highland Lakes community great, added Goldsmith.

Visit the Locals Love Us ballot webpage to vote, and while you’re at it, find out about last year’s winners.
